REEP: Renewable Entrepreneur & Executive Partnership Program
REEP: Renewable Entrepreneur & Executive Partnership Program
What is the REEP program?
Mentors/Sponsors from Renewables Forward member companies are trained, matched, and supported in championing the success of women- and BIPOC-owned clean energy startups in a structured, positive 9-month program.
REEP is designed to grow leadership and business success for both executives and entrepreneurs.
Renewables Forward partners with ACORE to manage the REEP program. Executives from Renewables Forward are carefully matched with entrepreneurs from the ACORE Accelerate program.
How is REEP Structured for Executive Sponsors?
REEP is designed as a mutually beneficial partnership between senior executives and entrepreneurs–building leadership skills and networks.
What’s the difference in a Mentor and a Sponsor?
A Mentor is someone who advises you and shares experience, skills, and learning.
A Sponsor is also willing to take action on their Entrepreneur’s behalf.
As a Sponsor your goal is to strengthen and champion a woman or BIPOC-owned renewable energy entrepreneur for business success.
REEP Program Stages
REEP begins with surveying Sponsors to gather their preferences, skills and interests. Renewables Forward carefully matches Sponsors to Entrepreneurs and then trains both partners to set expectations. Renewables Forward provides an Action Guide to REEP participants with conversation prompts, SWOT and pitch templates, and other tools to support robust, productive interactions between the Sponsor and the Entrepreneur.
After training, partners will establish a schedule of structured conversations once or twice per month. These supported calls/meetings will continue until the end of August 2025, taking place at least once per month or more often depending on your shared schedules.
The total time commitment for Sponsors including training, a mid-year booster and a special closing session to gain broader visibility with other sponsors is 12 – 18 hours.
