The DEI Clean Energy Framework:
Led by Renewables Forward, the DEI Framework Project unites all major clean energy trade associations and organizations in actionable, sustainable, practical plans to advance diversity and inclusion in our industry. To access the tools, See: DEI Pathway Forward
Creating Diverse Workforce Talent Pathways:
The clean energy industry will need up to 1 million new workers by 2032. Renewables Forward champions partnerships that expand workforce recruitment, training and retention, welcoming and rewarding talent from all capacities through two activities:
1. Registered Apprenticeships with the ACE Network: Renewables Forward targets under-represented and disadvantaged communities for training and apprenticeship opportunities in clean energy. We connect Members with training institutions, such as community colleges, labor training hubs and Minority Serving Institutions for recruitment, and as apprenticeship training partners.
2. DEI Rural/Remote Program Creation: Renewables Forward evaluates and designs unique rural DEI initiatives to serve remote communities and energy employers, integrating with economic development and community benefit plans.
Renewable Entrepreneur-Executive Partnership (REEP):
Mentor/Sponsors from Renewables Forward member companies are trained, matched and supported in championing the success of women- and BIPOC-owned clean energy startups in a structured, positive 9-month program. REEP delivers mutual leadership growth and business success. See: REEP for more information.
